IdRef ( www.idref.fr ) is a Web application developed and maintained by the ABES.
IdRef allows all users and client applications to query, consult, create and modify Sudoc "authority records". An application that exploits the IdRef services is known as a "client application". STAR was the first IdRef client application, followed rapidly by Calames.
This document describes how a client application can interact with IdRef.
By exploiting the IdRef Web services of the REST type, a client application can integrate searches on IdRef into its own interfaces and research programs (via the Solr API) and can consult data in different formats (by way of the REST service and the recovery of a record).
By "connecting" its own forms onto those of IdRef, by Javascript, a client application can interact with IdRef, particularly to transmit data to IdRef and conversely to recover data.
